We have decided to open a B&B to share these spaces, following a family vocation that has taught us to enjoy convivial moments with friends that have always characterized this house. The house dates back to 1907 and was originally a laundry house, so much so that the "Canabagno" ditch, which dates back to 1850, borders the house and entered directly into the basement, allowing workers to wash clothes protected from the elements. On the raised ground floor, there is a living room, which was served by a large fireplace, which allowed clothes to be dried even in winter. On the first floor, there are the rooms, which were accessed from the balcony, like in row houses. This arrangement was very curious considering that the house was a single-family home, unless it served to provide a sort of independent access to the individual rooms in case they were used by third parties or by the children. The entire building is in the center of a large plot of land that was used to hang and harvest hay for the horses owned; the laundry house was also equipped with a stable, a hayloft, and a carriage shed where laundry was collected and delivered. Today, these approximately 4000 square meters constitute the green lung in which the house is immersed, it will not seem like you are in the city, and it guarantees ample internal parking, a recreational area for children, and a space for your 4-legged friends to run around. In the recent renovation that allowed us to optimize the spaces and create a bathroom in each room, we also replaced the fixtures, installed water-saving devices, a photovoltaic system that makes us self-sufficient in electricity, and solar thermal for the production of hot water. This, combined with the gas boiler for heating, will allow us to contribute further to the saving of precious resources. The furniture, all its accessories, and everything related to hospitality are the work of the hostess, Norma, who, following her passion and natural predisposition for attention to detail, from the preparation of the rooms to breakfast, manages to create a refined yet informal environment that will make you feel absolutely comfortable.
