I am a lady who enjoys good food. Cuirone has been the vacation spot for my husband Giorgio's family for many generations. We purchased our home because it was one-of-a-kind and we renovated it while preserving its original features. We moved here from Milan many years ago and in 1987 we founded a cultural association to care for the memory and preservation of Cuirone and its history. We did not have children, but our home has always welcomed many grandchildren and friends. Giorgio had his studio here. In the upper part of the studio, there is Baubaus House, which Giorgio designed and built. The chosen name is a game and a long story that stems from an exhibition with other artist friends. We decided to rent Baubaus House because we enjoy meeting new people who appreciate these simple places. After Giorgio's death, I turned the studio into an archive of Giorgio's work and the association. The Giorgio Ostini Space occasionally hosts works by other artists, so it continues to live on with his generous spirit.
