The B&B Ca' d'Maté is a charming place, surrounded by a fascinating setting. It is an old "fortified house" in Ossola stone, dating back to 1598, which has been renovated to restore its former splendor. At Ca' d'Matè, the cellar is dedicated to the aging of our delicious wines and the furnishings are authentic testimonies of rural life. Here, everything is imbued with history and tradition. We pay special attention to breakfast, which includes homemade pastries and typical local products.

We are a family of passionate grape growers who, with cunning and dedication, have been able to revive the age-old tradition of Ossola wine, freeing it from the crisis that had struck it in 1900 when, due to the dreaded phylloxera and other factors, farmers abandoned viticulture and their fields to work in factories. Since the distant year of 1920, we have been the custodians of the precious secrets of winemaking in this captivating region.

Ca' d’Maté is located in the village of Oira di Crevoladossola, approximately 7 km from Domodossola towards Val Formazza. To reach us, follow the signs for Crodo and Valle Formazza from the Sempione highway, then take the Oira exit. Keep left and drive for about 500 meters until you reach the square of Oira, where you will find our cozy bed & breakfast.
