Casa Gianni

Apartment in Merine-Lizzanello in the city center

Casa Gianni is a charming historical residence that has been recently renovated, located in Merine, a peaceful village on the outskirts of Lecce. The house features typical architectural elements such as star-shaped tuff vaults and walls made of Lecce stone, blending the allure of tradition with modern comfort for an authentic and relaxing stay. The interior spaces include a spacious hallway, a double bedroom, a large living room with exposed brick vaults, and a loft area with two single beds. The living room also has a sofa bed that converts into a one-and-a-half-person bed. Additional amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a laundry room, a veranda, and a small terrace, all ideal for outdoor relaxation. Street parking is available nearby. The location of Casa Gianni is perfect for exploring the Salento region. Just 4 km from Lecce, it offers easy access to the historic center, where you can admire the wonders of Baroque Lecce and enjoy the vibrant nightlife. A short drive away, you can discover the beautiful Adriatic coastline, including Otranto and Torre dell’Orso, or reach Gallipoli on the Ionian coast, both about 30 minutes away. The Lecce bypass, only 3 km away, provides quick connections to all the main attractions in the area. Merine also has conveniently accessible services within walking distance, such as a pharmacy, a butcher shop, a pizzeria, cafés, and supermarkets. For sports and relaxation enthusiasts, the Golf Acaia Club is just a 10-minute drive away, while the “I Giardini di Atena” residence, within walking distance, offers swimming pools, tennis courts, and five-a-side football. Throughout the year, Salento comes alive with unmissable events. In July, Merine hosts the famous “Sagra te lu Ranu,” a gastronomic and cultural festival that attracts thousands of visitors. At the end of August, Melpignano, just a 20-minute drive away, becomes the stage for the “Notte della Taranta,” a music festival dedicated to Salento’s traditions, featuring singing and dancing that lasts until dawn. Casa Gianni is the perfect choice for those looking to enjoy a tranquil stay while immersing themselves in the culture, history, and nature of Salento.
