Corte Kalìnora (from the Griko language "Kalì n'òra", literally "Court of the good hour") is a historic residence dating back to the late 18th century, restored to its original architecture after careful and patient renovation, just completed, which has restored its former splendor and given it an essential and contemporary style that characterizes it today. The heart of the house is the typical "Salentine courtyard" which is accessed by crossing the characteristic "simportu", a covered atrium with a star-shaped vault in local stone and white tuff. Two ancient staircases, also made of local stone, lead to the guest rooms on the first floor and to an open terrace, the ideal frame for a fantastic blue sky during the day, illuminated by stars at night. Corte Kalìnora has three rooms with independent access and private bathrooms: - two standard rooms (Kalìmera and Kalìspera), both with king size double bed, wardrobe and console desk; - one superior room (Kalìnitta), larger in size, with king size double bed, wardrobe, relaxation area with large sofa bed, coffee table and large sideboard. Corte Kalìnora also offers a daily rental service of two beautiful electric pedal-assisted bicycles (Pedelec) Mercedes Smart e-Bike white & grey model. The rooms of Corte Kalìnora are designed to offer maximum comfort and well-being through a choice of quality furnishings, with deliberately minimal style and simple yet refined design. They are all equipped with silent air conditioning with air ionizer, 32" LED monitor, safe, bedroom mirror, mini fridge bar, professional hairdryer, centralized heating, WiFi connection, and window mosquito nets. The furniture, with defined geometric and linear shapes, is handcrafted in precious solid wood, as are the external fixtures and internal doors. Together with the raw plastered white walls, the natural wood grains, and the soft colors of the textiles, each room gives those who stay there the feeling of a warm embrace and a pleasant sense of lightness. To ensure the best rest, all beds are large in size and have mattresses made of pure latex with energy hypoallergenic coating, as well as 4 soft cloud-like pillows and orthopedic slatted bases made of wood. The mini fridges are noiseless and emit zero emissions, and the air conditioners, in addition to being extremely silent, are equipped with a device that ionizes the air, purifying it from impurities and allergens. The bathrooms are all equipped with clean design washbasins and sanitary ware, transparent glass shower cabins with large rain effect showerheads, and chrome-plated faucets. The textiles, both for the bed and the bathroom, are all made of pure cotton.
