The Gallegati Farmhouse is located in the beautiful countryside of Faenza, surrounded by a large park of deciduous trees, conifers, and bamboo canes, which extends for about one hectare. Surrounded by orchards and cultivated fields, this place offers an ideal environment to spend a peaceful vacation.
Within the same complex, you will also find the wine cellar shop, while the vineyards are located in the Monte di Sotto estate, in the municipality of Brisighella, about ten kilometers away.
The farmhouse was inaugurated in June 2012, and its restoration was conceived with an eye towards sustainability: solar panels placed on the roof and a pellet-fueled thermo-fireplace are used for water heating. Inside the building, natural lighting from the roof creates a welcoming atmosphere. The project is based on some fundamental principles: creating simple and functional spaces that resemble a home environment, enhancing materials from the local tradition, and ensuring accessibility and safety, paying attention to technical and construction details for people with disabilities and the elderly.
Brothers Antonio and Cesare Gallegati cultivate their 7 hectares of vineyards in the municipality of Brisighella, on the beautiful hills around Monte Coralli, at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level. The names of their wines are inspired by this wonderful place name.
The company is family-run, and the two brothers, both with degrees in Agricultural Sciences (Cesare also holds a second degree in Enology), personally manage the business with great passion. They have always been attentive to issues related to environmental sustainability, so much so that starting from the 2019 harvest, the production has obtained organic certification.
At the company headquarters on Via Lugo 182 in Faenza, you will find a small winemaking and storage cellar, as well as the farmhouse consisting of 5 rooms and a tasting room where you can savor the finest wines from the historical reserve.
