Il Casale dei Gelsomini

The "Casale dei Gelsomini" is located on the plateau 2.5 km from the historic center of Scicli, 6 km from Modica, and in a central position with respect to the Baroque of the Val di Noto, a UNESCO heritage site. It is situated on a hill and enjoys a view of the sea that goes from Sampieri to Marina di Ragusa. It is a typical farmhouse dating back to 1863, surrounded by a carob tree grove where Modica cattle are raised. The restructuring of the farmhouse has transformed the barns and the laborers' dwellings into apartments that overlook a "baglio" of about 600 square meters, while a third apartment with a terrace - located on an upper level - has remained unchanged, leaving a trace of the old manor house.
