Dear visitor, We are grateful that you have chosen to stay in our hostel and dine in our restaurant. Thanks to your support, our Cooperative can continue to fulfill the dream of a solidary and sustainable economy, which promotes employment and individual freedom. Our adventure began in 2003, when we were a group of university students eager to escape the social limitations that oppress young Sicilians. In collaboration with the Regional Agency for the Right to Study of the University of Palermo, we managed student residences under the brand "Student's Hostel," offering summer accommodation to thousands of young travelers visiting the city. Since 2008, after winning a public competition, our cooperative Ballarò has expanded its activities by managing the municipal hostel in the city of Ferrara, in Emilia Romagna. The following year, we also arrived in Tuscany, taking over the management of the Palazzo Gowett hostel in Campiglia Marittima (LI). In 2011, we added another gem to our collection: the Ghiara hostel in Reggio Emilia, to which we later added the catering service.
