The Bed & Breakfast has a total of three welcoming and carefully furnished rooms. Santa Sofia is the B&B designed for those who want to stay in a place away from the chaos of the city but you can reach the center of Catania in less than 10 minutes, the nearby towns of Aci Castello and Aci Trezza with its wonderful faraglioni. Thanks to its position it is possible to reach the entrances of the motorways to Messina and Palermo in just 5 minutes, the bus stop is 150 meters away. On the same street you can find bars, tobacconists, supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, pastry shop, newsagent. The B&B has rooms with a shabby chic style, welcoming and equipped with all comforts, fridge in the room, hairdryer, air conditioning and heating. Waiting for you there will be Michelangelo, Ketty and Alfonsa three brothers with a passion for hospitality, in the morning we will delight you with a breakfast based on typical products of the Catania tradition.

Our breakfast

We offer our guests a plentiful continental buffet breakfast that includes cappuccino, espresso, American-style coffee, various teas and infusions, hot chocolate, yogurt, butter, jams and honey from Mount Etna, fruit juices, freshly squeezed juices, cereals, cakes, fresh biscuits, Sardinian savoiardi, cereal bread, peanut butter, fresh and dried fruit, granita and hot brioches in the summer, and Sicilian cannoli and cassatelle. Upon request, we can also serve cheeses, toast, bacon, boiled or scrambled eggs. Breakfast can be served in the guest's room or on a private balcony upon request. For the suite, breakfast is served upon request on the private balcony or in the private garden.

Our facility is located about 800 meters away from the Catania Polyclinic on Via S. Sofia, the university campus, Pala Arcidiacono, and the Faculty of Agriculture. The town of Nicolosi, located at the foot of Mount Etna, is also easily accessible, and within a 20-minute drive, you can reach the Etnaland water and amusement park. The area is well-supplied with bars, pastry shops, bakeries, pharmacies, tobacco shops, supermarkets, and more. Additionally, its strategic location allows for easy access from nearby highways, such as the Messina-Catania A18 and Palermo-Catania A19. There are bus stops just 200 meters away, as well as the B.R.T and Rapid Bus that takes only 10 minutes to reach the center of Catania.
