Villa Leilani is situated right on the shores of Lake Iseo, a beautiful alpine lake surrounded by mountains and hills rich in olive trees. The lake is well-known for its large island, Monteisola, which is the biggest lake island in Europe and one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Along the lake, there are many small towns with beautiful and picturesque corners, including ancient churches and palaces. Lake Iseo is also the end of the Camonica Valley, where the rock carvings sites have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. The area is perfect for excursions and trekking on the numerous mountain trails, including the famous Antica Valeriana. The lake offers breathtaking views, such as the Bogn Abyss between Castro and Riva di Solto, where the mountain drops down steeply into a bend of the lake, giving the lake an intense green color. There is also an old road that is now only for pedestrians and cyclists, running along the lake between Vello and Pisogne, between mountains and the lake, in a silence only broken by the sound of waves and wind. This area is very popular among surf enthusiasts. Furthermore, the area is famous for its agricultural products, such as oil, cheese, and wines from the nearby Franciacorta region.
