Agriturismo Campo Rosso

Country House in Civitella di Romagna in the countryside

The farmhouse was created from a noble residence and has undergone a conservative restoration, preserving its original structure. Nine hectares of land are dedicated to the cultivation of fruits, vegetables, wine, and hay for the horses. Five out of the nine rooms in our farmhouse have been decorated by talented local artists. The dining room has been converted from the old stable and features old farming tools, typical of the ancient peasant tradition, hanging on the stone walls. Recently, a spacious panoramic veranda and an outdoor terrace have been added. Additionally, we have ample parking and access to the river for a pleasant walk in the riverside forest.

Our breakfast

In the morning, upon waking up, you will be greeted with a delightful breakfast featuring handmade pastries using fresh eggs from our friendly chickens and organic ingredients such as butter and flour sourced from ancient grains. You can also savor a fragrant homemade cereal bread, accompanied by carefully crafted jams made in the farmhouse kitchen using organic fruit from our estate.

Restaurant

Passionately and enthusiastically, we describe to our guests the love for nature, healthy and authentic products, the territory, traditions, and local culture that we convey through our dishes. We use organic flours from ancient stone-ground grains to create our hand-rolled pasta, bread with sourdough, and homemade piadinas with lard from Romagna’s blackberry pig or high-quality extra virgin olive oil. The breakfast pastries and cookies are prepared and baked every week using fresh eggs from our free-range chickens. The meats, cured meats, and cheeses come from small producers in the Bidente Valley, who are part of the Slow Food "Voler bene alla terra" farmers' market. We cultivate, work, and preserve the vegetables from our garden and the fruits from our trees. We also gather wild herbs to enhance our preparations. We offer a selection of wines from the cellars of our hills and beers from local craft breweries. Vegetarian alternatives are always available to cater to different preferences. Please inform us of any allergies or intolerances at the time of booking.

You will be hosted by Katia

My two great passions are the thrilling world of horse riding and the captivating rhythm of dancing. Within my precious and affectionate animal group, I have a beautiful Quarter Horse mare named Bea and a fascinating Anglo-Arab gelding named Samir. These noble horses happily live without the need for horseshoes, in spacious paddocks where they can graze and enjoy nature in complete serenity. In 2016, I obtained the license to be an equestrian tour guide, allowing me to share my passion and knowledge with anyone wanting to discover the wonders of the area. Since April 2017, I have embarked on a new and fascinating journey in the field of agriculture and farm hospitality, offering guests the opportunity to experience authentic moments and immerse themselves in rural life.
