La Maison de Grand Maman
Bed & Breakfast in Champorcher
La Maison de Grand-Maman is a stone house from the 19th century that has been transformed into a cozy mountain chalet, where tradition and creativity exist in perfect harmony. The renovation was personally overseen by the owner, who meticulously restored antique woods and original furnishings, honoring the building's spirit and enhancing every detail. The spaces are spread across two levels and are distinguished by the scent of wood, the elegance of the fabrics, an evocative LED lighting, and a warm ambiance created by vintage furniture and traditional alpine objects.
The establishment is located in the heart of a small mountain village, in a peaceful yet easily accessible position, with private parking adjacent to the public road. During the warmer months, the garden next to the house becomes an ideal space to relax in the shade of the trees and enjoy the tranquility of the valley. Common areas include a kitchen with a cellar, a breakfast room, and three meticulously designed bedrooms intended to provide an intimate and authentic stay.
Breakfast is included and features typical and organic products from the region. The bathrooms are stocked with shampoos and soaps made from alpine flowers, and during the summer, guests can also enjoy fresh organic vegetables from the property's garden.
Massimiliano, the creator and owner of the Maison, warmly welcomes guests with passion and expertise. As an experienced nature guide, he leads those interested on explorations of the Champorcher valley, protected areas, and the Mont Avic Natural Park, as well as the enchanting trails of the Valle dell’Alleigne. A stay here means experiencing the genuine atmosphere of an alpine chalet, immersing oneself in history and nature, and feeling connected to a place that quietly narrates the profound bond between humans, wood, and the mountains.

Area
Grandma's House is situated in the heart of the Champorcher valley, one of the most authentic and least developed areas in the Aosta Valley. Here, the mountains maintain a slow and genuine pace, characterized by small villages, larch forests, pastures, and deep silences. It is the perfect place for those seeking true nature, away from crowded tourist spots, yet abundant in stunning views and trails to explore in every season.
Just minutes from the property, the trails of the Mont Avic Natural Park unfold, a protected area of extraordinary beauty, featuring alpine lakes, pristine forests, and high biodiversity. The paths cater to both experienced hikers and those looking for simple walks immersed in nature, with opportunities to observe wildlife and untouched landscapes.
The valley is also ideal for those who enjoy active and mindful tourism: trekking, snowshoeing in winter, nature excursions, and cultural itineraries alternate with moments of relaxation and contemplation. The villages preserve ancient traditions, rural architecture, and a strong connection to the land, offering an authentic mountain experience filled with genuine hospitality, clean air, and a deep sense of harmony with the surrounding environment.
