Giano dell'Umbria is situated on a picturesque hill at an altitude of 546 meters. We remember, just to mention the most famous ones, the monumental complex of San Francesco, the Abbey of San Felice, and beautiful villages (Castelli di Castagnola, Montecchio, Morcicchia, and much more). Finally, but of utmost importance, the gastronomy represented by excellent local cuisine, simple but genuine (black truffle, legumes, pecorino cheese, cold cuts). A separate chapter is dedicated to the famous wines: Sagrantino, Montefalco Rosso, and Grechetto. Of course, at the top of the list is our unbeatable extra virgin olive oil, celebrated with folklore events: La Mangiaunta and the Festa della Frasca.
